You need to edit your payment options in your account. Take away the "buy now", "one-click purchase" or "quick checkout" option. Also, there should be somewhere in the account settings or checkout process to enter gift card codes. Look for it and proceed through checkout slowly to prevent B&N from charging your CC.

I’m sorry, i can’t give you specifics because I use a Sony, but that’s is how it works in the Reader Store. Unfortunately, all the "Nook Experts" that were here pushing their product before the holidays seem to have abandoned those who bought it.

It’s sure a worth buying. Wireless is a unique feature I will say and that’s make really value for money. 3G wireless and global coverage, I personally travel a lot and really worthy for me. I use my windows mobile phone as an ebook reader. Its a cheap HTC model but any windows mobile phone would work similarly

It can do MS word, TXT, JPG, PDF (but the screen size is small), mobipocket, MS excel, LIT (Microsoft reader), CHM, HTML and a few other formats

thats a nice thing about windows mobile, there’s a huge amount of software out there

Yes, there are a number of ebook readers that support those formats. BeBook and EZ Readers both support over 20 formats. All ebook readers, even Kindle, support PDF, and it also supports HTML and MOBI.

Most ebook readers support ADE.

No they are not the same. Barnes and Noble have 3 types of NOOKs on the market. If I had to
buy one, it would be their latest one the NOOKcolor

1. NOOK 3G Grey and White – Can connect to AT& T 3g free of charge but you must live or be
traveling to an area that is covered under AT& T”s 3g. This NOOK also connects to wifi -you can connect to your home’s wifi or other open hotspots. NOOK uses wifi to download latest softwares, purchase NOOKbooks, magazines, downloading and for going on internet.The lower screen is color and is touch sensitive but can only read text in different shades of gray like Amazon’ s Kindle.

2. NOOKwifi can only connect to wifi- like at your home or open hotspots likeMcDonald’ss, starbucks, airport, bn stores and etc. On this NOOK, you can only purchase, download, update software, and go to web browser when connected to wifi. If not , you must manually load your
BN books to NOOKwifi’s drive. The lower screen is color and is touch sensitive but can only read
text in different shades of gray like Amazon’ s Kindle.

3. NOOKcolor is the latest NOOK available but only connects to wifi. The entire device uses
a touchscreen and it is all color. It is more expensive, fancier, and a better gadget. You can read magazines in color, you can listen to pandora, send email/receive, link your twitter account and make recommendation of your favorite books to friends. You can watch videos on NOOKcolor
and play more games on NOOKcolor.

I had experienced them all, nook is not having modern apps and tool and is not that much customiseable but it has a feel whereas nook color is customiseable,modern and have tools but it dont have feel of book reader and secondly it affects eyes because it is using backlight, after all experience i will just say that kindle 3g is modern, have modern tools ,is highly customizeable and is made and meant for reading.and as far as prices are concerned they are all at same price but prices of ebooks at amazon are relatively very low and also they are giving lot of free ebooks with kindle also.

Micromax Q3 doesn’t support .pdf files but if you will convert the .pdf file into .txt file then You can use ebook reader in Q3 to open your .txt file! You can copy a file by selecting it and if there are more then one file then select it by ctrl or shift and then select copy command and then paste it to the desired location!

What do mean by ‘ebook reader’? I use Microsoft Reader for .lit files, Mobipocket, which reads most other ebook formats, and Adobe Reader for Pocket PC for pdfs.

If you mean, what’s a good PDA to read ebooks on… I’m particularly fond of my Acer. The iPaqs are fab, but you don’t need something that expensive if you’re only using it for ebooks. Acers are nice reliable little pieces of kit, and you can usually pick up an N30 or N35 for under £150 on eBay.

MS Reader comes with Windows Mobile
Mobipocket is freeware, which you can download here: http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/ProductDetailsReader.asp
Adobe Reader for Pocket PC is also freeware, found here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readerforppc.html

With those three you should be able to read pretty much anything.
